Fatal San Antonio shooting death of Derek Dashaun Brown and Kyung Lee – Obituary

Derek Dashaun Brown, 27, and Kyung Lee, 50, were killed early Wednesday morning in a shooting at Myst Hookah + Ultra Lounge on the Northwest side of San Antonio. Authorities reported that the incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. at 4553 TX-1604 Loop. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the deaths of both individuals.

San Antonio Police Department said officers responded to a call about a shooting in progress at 1:24 a.m., with the fire department notified a minute later. Brown, a Texas native, was remembered by friends on social media, who expressed shock and grief over his sudden death. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
