Fatal crash death of Joseph Flores Jr., 17, of El Paso, County – Obituary
A 17-year-old teenager has been identified following his tragic death in a vehicle collision last Friday, July 5, in far East El Paso, according to authorities from the El Paso Police Department.
Officials reported that Joseph Flores Jr. was traveling westbound along the 13000 block of Montana Street at approximately 1:30 a.m. that Friday.
The vehicle, reportedly traveling at a high speed, veered out of control, striking the right-hand curb before overturning and colliding with a large pole.
Sadly, Joseph Flores Jr. succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. Authorities have indicated that excessive speed may have played a role in the crash.
This incident marks the 35th traffic fatality recorded within the city limits of El Paso this year, in comparison to 39 fatalities at this same time last year.
