The accident led to the temporary closure of both northbound lanes near Exit 125 for several hours, although the road has now been reopened.
The Webster County Coroner confirmed the death of a female victim in the two-vehicle crash. Authorities have identified her as 25-year-old Krista Brune from Evansville, Indiana.
Kentucky State Police announced plans to close both northbound lanes of I-69 at the crash site from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday to conduct a crash reconstruction. The reconstruction was delayed due to heavy rain at the time of the incident.
