Guillermo Magallanes, 44, was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Monday night in East Los Angeles. California Highway Patrol officers responded around 11:02 p.m. to East Olympic Boulevard and Arizona Avenue, where they found Magallanes lying on the roadway amid several vehicles. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified Magallanes on Tuesday, noting he suffered blunt trauma. Investigators reported that three people in one vehicle briefly stopped to check on him before driving away, and the CHP indicated he may have been struck by multiple vehicles. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the fatal incident.
