Killeen authorities have disclosed the identity of the 17-year-old who was fatally shot in Killeen on Monday.
As per the police department, officers responded to a call reporting a shooting incident at approximately 2:31 p.m. in the 600 block of Avenue I.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Tristen Hochstetler deceased from gunshot wounds inside a residence. Justice of the Peace Nicola James officially declared his time of death at 4:19 p.m.
Hochstetler’s tragic passing represents the seventh homicide recorded in Killeen this year, according to police reports.
In efforts to seek justice, Crime Stoppers and Killeen PD are urging the public to provide any relevant information regarding the murder. Tips can be reported by calling 254-526-TIPS or through bellcountycrimestoppers.com. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be submitted via the P3Tips App.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 cash for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.
