Fatal North Linden shooting death of Tahvon Ford – Obituary
A 19-year-old man, Tahvon Ford, has died following a shooting in North Linden on Saturday morning. The Columbus Division of Police reports that a suspect has been apprehended in connection with the incident.
Police responded to a call about a shooting at a residence in the 1700 block of Genessee Avenue shortly after 10:35 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Ford with a gunshot wound to his head, according to court documents.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced Ford dead at 10:46 a.m., the police stated.
The suspect, 19-year-old Shirldenna Featherstone, was arrested at the scene and charged with reckless homicide.
Franklin County Municipal Court records reveal that Featherstone informed detectives that she was on the bed with Ford, who was showing her his rifle when it “accidentally discharged,” striking Ford.
