Fatal Midland car accident death of Danny Glen Howl – Obituary
A 43-year-old man from Midland, Danny Glen Howl, passed away on Friday following a vehicle-pedestrian accident earlier that day at the intersection of Dallas Street and Florida Avenue.
According to the Midland Police Department, a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 was heading eastbound around 5 p.m. in the 300 block of East Florida when another vehicle suddenly entered its lane. This prompted the 19-year-old driver of the Chevrolet to swerve into the outside lane to avoid a collision.
The police report stated, “Two pedestrians were crossing at the intersection of Dallas and Florida, moving southbound. One pedestrian was in the outside lane, and the other in the inside lane. After the Chevrolet 1500 swerved into the outside lane, the driver noticed the first pedestrian and made another sudden maneuver back into the inside lane, striking the second pedestrian.”
The injured pedestrian, Danny Glen Howl, was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries but later died from those injuries.
