Fatal LaPorte County car crash death of Gregory W. Crites – Obituary
Gregory W. Crites, a 65-year-old resident of Union Mills, lost his life in a tragic vehicle accident. On Friday, July 19, just before noon, emergency responders were summoned to County Road 300 North, situated west of Johnson Road.
Crites was driving a 2010 Ford Explorer traveling westbound when his vehicle veered left of the centerline and crossed into the eastbound lane.
The SUV then left the roadway and struck a tree, causing it to overturn and land on its driver’s side. Crites was trapped inside the wreckage and needed to be extricated, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
