Fatal Pembina County motorcycle crash death of Jenny Halldorson – Obituary
The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the identities of two individuals involved in a motorcycle accident with a deer.
The incident took place around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, on Pembina County Road 4, roughly 4 miles east of Bathgate.
According to troopers, a deer emerged from the ditch, and the motorcycle’s driver, 43-year-old Robert Winkler of Cavalier, was unable to avoid a collision, striking the deer. The impact resulted in the passenger, 43-year-old Jenny Halldorson of Hamilton, North Dakota, being ejected from the motorcycle.
Winkler was thrown into the ditch and became trapped beneath the motorcycle. He was transported to Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier with severe, life-threatening injuries.
Halldorson succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol also reported that Winkler faces charges for driving under revocation and driving without liability insurance.
