Ryan Sabet dies in fatal Vancouver motorbike collision
Fatal Vancouver motorbike collision death of Ryan Sabet – Obituary
The family of Ryan Sabet, who tragically lost his life in a collision with a Vancouver fire truck near Lost Lagoon on Saturday, has come forward to share his identity.
The 18-year-old from West Vancouver had recently completed high school and was looking forward to starting his first year as a business student at Simon Fraser University, according to his father.
On Sunday, friends and family gathered to create a memorial for him along the Stanley Park Causeway. Sam Imani Torkamani, Sabet’s close friend who described their bond as brotherly, spoke at the tribute. “I’m incredibly grateful for the love he was able to share.
His kindness touched so many lives, and the turnout here shows just how cherished he was,” Torkamani said, reflecting on their shared memories and Sabet’s generous nature.
“I miss him deeply,” Torkamani continued. “I remember building treehouses in his backyard not too long ago. I wish I could see his bright, beautiful smile again.”
The memorial, established along the Stanley Park Causeway on Sunday, July 21, was a testament to Sabet’s impact on those around him. Torkamani recalled how Sabet was always ready to support his family, often taking his younger brother out to lift his spirits on tough days.
The Lions Gate Bridge and the surrounding causeway were closed for several hours following the accident involving the fire truck and at least one other vehicle. Vancouver police are seeking witnesses to the crash and request dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
