Fatal Hebron bicycle crash death of Cui Lin – Obituary
Connecticut State Police are investigating a deadly bicycle accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Hebron.
Troopers from Troop K in Colchester were dispatched to 667 Wall St. (Route 316) around 1 p.m. in response to a report of a downed cyclist.
According to state police, a passerby noticed an unattended bicycle near a guardrail and then found a man beyond the guardrail, close to the woods, with a severe leg injury.
The passerby applied a tourniquet to the man’s leg and signaled for help until emergency responders arrived, state police reported.
The injured bicyclist, later identified as 38-year-old Cui Lin of Simsbury, was taken to Windham Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
State police are continuing to investigate the crash.
