The identity of the man fatally shot earlier this month in west Louisville has now been released. On Wednesday, July 10, shortly after 3:15 a.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to the 2600 block of West Chestnut Street in the Russell neighborhood, where they discovered a man with a gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as 60-year-old Thaddeus E. Miller. He succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case, but no suspects have been identified at this time. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or submit tips through the LMPD Crime Tip Portal online.
