Fatal north Minneapolis shooting death of Tavaughn Lamarr Combs – Obituary
Authorities have identified Tavaughn Lamarr Combs, a 46-year-old resident of Minneapolis, as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday.
Combs was shot in the torso in the 2600 block of N. 21st Avenue, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
He succumbed to his injuries a short distance away in the 2100 block of N. Thomas Avenue.
The incident was first detected around 2:25 a.m. by ShotSpotter technology, which alerted police to the gunfire. By 7:40 a.m., officers found Combs with a gunshot wound in front of a residence on Thomas Avenue. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
