Authorities have identified four men who lost their lives in a suspected DUI accident on state Route 163 in Kearny Mesa last week.
The tragic three-vehicle collision occurred on the southbound side of the freeway at Interstate 805 early Friday morning, claiming the lives of Faruk Cetin, 27, Mahsun Dursun, 23, Abdurrezak Hizmali, 27, and Baris Savas, 25, as confirmed by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The victims were traveling in a Toyota Prius when it crashed into at least one other vehicle shortly before 1:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Cetin and Dursun were pronounced dead at the scene. Hizmali and Savas were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital by paramedics, where they succumbed to their injuries.
As of Monday, authorities had not released information about the victims’ places of residence.
