The blaze, which erupted early Sunday morning in the trailer park of Coulterville, has been identified as the cause of her death. The official confirmation from the Coroner’s Office is still pending.
The devastating fire obliterated six homes and displaced 17 individuals, according to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office. Many of the affected residents, reported by the GoFundMe organizer, are living on fixed incomes and face significant challenges in replacing their lost possessions.
Funds raised through the GoFundMe will primarily assist with Cynthia Morgan’s funeral costs. Any remaining donations will be directed to support those impacted by the fire.
