Fatal Minneapolis shooting death of TaVaughn LaMarr Combs – Obituary
On Friday, the victim of a tragic shooting in Minneapolis was identified as 46-year-old TaVaughn LaMarr Combs.
Authorities from the Minneapolis Police Department were dispatched around 7:40 a.m. and arrived to find Combs deceased at the scene, located on the 2100 block of Thomas Ave North.
His body was discovered about five hours after a ShotSpotter alert was triggered in the vicinity of 21st Ave North and Uptown Ave North.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner confirmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso.
There have been no arrests made in connection with this incident.
Combs, known affectionately as “Spunky” among friends and family, was a digital creator based in the Twin Cities, according to his Facebook profile. Tributes and messages of grief have been pouring in on Facebook from those who knew and loved him.
