Fatal Long Beach-Lakewood collision death of David Garcia – Obituary
David Garcia, a 41-year-old man from Downey, was tragically identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner following a severe accident.
The incident occurred on June 4 around 6:10 p.m. at the junction of Carson Street and Ostrom Avenue, as reported by the Long Beach Police Department and the medical examiner.
Garcia, who was riding a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle, was traveling westbound on Carson Street when he changed lanes. At the same time, a 2007 Ford Edge was turning left onto Carson Street, leading to a collision between the motorcycle and the Ford. The impact resulted in critical injuries for Garcia.
Despite being hospitalized, Garcia succumbed to his injuries on July 9, according to police reports.
