Fatal Leavenworth County crash death of Caleb James Stricker – Obituary
The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a tragic collision that occurred Monday morning in Leavenworth County as Caleb James Stricker, a 17-year-old from Atchison.
The accident, which took place shortly after 11:10 a.m. on U.S. 73 near Lowermont Road, involved Stricker’s 2020 Toyota Camry. Authorities report that he was traveling northbound when he veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a semi-truck.
Despite wearing a seat belt, Stricker was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi-truck driver sustained only minor injuries.
