Fatal Long Island plane crash death of Christopher Kucera and Zachary Hatcher – Obituary
Christopher Kucera, 46, and Zachary Hatcher, 43, both from Virginia, tragically lost their lives in a plane crash at MacArthur Airport on Long Island Monday.
According to Suffolk County police, their single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza A36 went down shortly after takeoff from the Ronkonkoma airport around 6:15 p.m.
Kucera, from Fredericksburg, was the pilot, while Hatcher from King George was the sole passenger.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. The couple was returning to Virginia after visiting friends on Long Island.
