Christopher Kucera of Fredericksburg, Virginia, dies in fatal Long Island plane crash
Fatal Long Island plane crash claims life of Christopher Kucera of Fredericksburg – Obituary
Christopher Kucera, 46, from Fredericksburg, Virginia, was identified as one of the victims in a small plane crash at MacArthur Airport on Long Island on Monday.
Kucera, who was piloting the single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza A36, died when the plane went down shortly after taking off from Ronkonkoma airport around 6:15 p.m., according to Suffolk County police.
Officials reported that Kucera’s only passenger, Zachary Hatcher, 43, from King George, Virginia, also perished in the crash.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Kucera and Hatcher had been visiting friends on Long Island and were on their way back to Virginia when the tragic accident occurred.
