Fatal Dearborn car crash death of Ghada Mustapha – Obituary
On July 19, a tragic car crash occurred in west Dearborn when a 26-year-old woman from Taylor, driving an SUV at over 100 mph, ran a red light at Michigan Avenue and Nowlin Street.
She collided with a Ford F150 truck, resulting in the death of the truck’s driver, Ghada Mustapha.
Mustapha, a 33-year-old doctor, wife, and mother of three, worked as a family physician at Corewell Health Taylor Hospital and was an alumna of the University of Michigan Medical School.
The Islamic Center of America has confirmed her identity and organized her funeral services.
The driver from Taylor was taken to a local hospital by the Dearborn Fire Department and remains hospitalized. The Dearborn Police Department is awaiting a full toxicology report before presenting their findings to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
