Fatal La Mesa stabbing death of Essa Faraj – Obituary
Authorities have identified Essa Faraj, a 25-year-old man, who was fatally stabbed by an unknown attacker two weeks ago in La Mesa.
Police reported that patrol officers responding to a 911 call discovered Essa Faraj gravely injured on a driveway in the 7500 block of High Street shortly after midnight on July 13. Faraj succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
“Investigators believe Mr. Faraj was walking in the area shortly before the assault, but his exact route is still under investigation,” stated Lt. Katy Lynch on Wednesday. “The identity of the assailant remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.”
