Fatal Carroll County crash death of Brandy Rodgers – Obituary
A tragic accident on Interstate 20 in Carroll County has claimed the life of 39-year-old Brandy Rodgers from Oxford, Alabama.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Rodgers’ white Honda collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer. Rodgers was declared deceased at the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly after 4 p.m.
The collision resulted in the closure of all westbound lanes beyond the Carrollton Street exit.
Although traffic was rerouted off the highway at State Route 61, congestion stretched beyond the Tyson Road overpass. U.S. 78, which runs parallel to I-20, also experienced heavy delays as drivers sought alternative routes.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
