Fatal Scarborough shooting death of Braydon McCann and Sarah Prehay – Obituary
Toronto police have identified Braydon McCann, 22, and Sarah Prehay, 23, as the victims of a tragic shooting at a plaza in Scarborough. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning around 2:30 a.m. near Ellesmere Road and Brimley Road.
Emergency responders arrived to find four individuals—three men and one woman—who had been shot. The woman, later identified as Sarah Prehay, was rushed to a trauma center in critical condition but unfortunately passed away in the hospital.
Two other men sustained serious injuries and required surgery, though their conditions are considered serious but stable. The fourth victim, a man identified as Braydon McCann, was found deceased at the scene.
Police have released McCann’s photo but have not yet provided details on any suspects or whether the shooting was targeted. The investigation suggests that multiple firearms were involved, and approximately 50 shell casings were recovered from the scene.
Detective Rod Benson from Toronto Homicide noted that there is currently no information on suspects or the motive behind the shooting.
