Toronto police have identified Braydon McCann, 22, as one of the victims in a deadly shooting at a Scarborough plaza. The shooting took place early Wednesday morning around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Ellesmere Road and Brimley Road.
When emergency services arrived, they found four individuals with gunshot wounds. Braydon McCann was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three victims, including a critically injured woman who later died at the hospital, were taken to medical facilities for treatment. Two men who were also injured are recovering in the hospital from serious but non-life-threatening wounds.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with Toronto Police having released McCann’s photograph to the public.
Detective Rod Benson mentioned that there is no suspect information available yet and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Authorities have found around 50 shell casings at the scene and believe multiple firearms were used in the attack.
