Fatal Central City shooting death of Tony Jones – Obituary
A man killed in a Central City shooting this week has been identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office as 41-year-old Tony Jones.
Jones was discovered injured in the 2400 block of Dryades Street shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the New Orleans Police Department. Paramedics rushed Jones to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries over an hour later, police reported.
As of 3:30 p.m. Thursday, no arrests have been made in connection with the killing.
Police have not released additional information at this time.
