On Thursday, July 25, Timothy Earl Alberts, a 32-year-old resident of Kalkaska, lost his life in a tragic collision with a semi-truck. The incident occurred at approximately 11:52 p.m. at the crossroads of U.S. 131 and Twin Lake Road, as detailed in a report by the Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office.
Alberts, who was a passenger in a pickup truck heading west on Twin Lake Road, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The pickup truck, driven by a 28-year-old Elmira resident, reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a semi-truck traveling southbound on U.S. 131.
