The motorcyclist who lost his life in a crash on Interstate 90 Friday afternoon has been identified. Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook confirmed that the deceased is 57-year-old James Erickson from Stockton, New York.
Following the tragic accident, part of Interstate 90 was reopened after being closed for several hours. Coroner Cook informed JET 24/FOX 66 that Erickson’s death was due to multiple blunt-force injuries. No further information has been disclosed at this time.
Emergency calls regarding the motorcycle crash were received around 2 p.m., leading to the closure of sections of I-90 in McKean Township. PennDOT announced that the scene was cleared by 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
