The lifeless body of Anastasia-Patricia Rubinska, a young Polish woman, was discovered in a bin bag, concealed with branches beneath a tree. Rubinska had recently relocated to Greece for a seasonal waitressing job.
On June 12, Anastasia attended a party on Kos Island. Afterward, she informed her boyfriend that she had consumed too much alcohol and planned to take a motorbike ride to meet him. When she didn’t arrive, her boyfriend, aged 28, reported her missing.
Anastasia-Patricia Rubinska had previously shared photos of herself by the pool and in a pink dress on social media. Her move to Greece for work had been a recent development.
Three days following her disappearance, a Facebook missing persons page reported that Anastasia was last seen on Kos Island before 11:00 pm. The post suggested that she had likely boarded a motorcycle with a man from Bangladesh, who was only supposed to give her a ride to her boyfriend. The last phone location of Anastasia indicated a different area from where she was expected to meet her partner.
The 32-year-old Bangladeshi suspect, whose identity is being withheld, has been arrested and charged with kidnapping. During a search of his residence, authorities discovered two knives, a yellow sweater with stains and blonde hair, and an airline ticket to Italy purchased after Anastasia’s disappearance. DNA evidence found at the scene has been matched to the victim.
CCTV footage captured Anastasia inside a restaurant shortly before her disappearance. On June 18, it was reported that her naked body was found under a tree in the Alykes Tigaki wetlands area, approximately a kilometer from the suspect’s home. The body was partially concealed in a black bag and covered with branches. Authorities are now focusing their investigation on an abandoned campsite near the suspect’s residence.

This was very tragic for the families and friends the women should have never excepted the ride and should have waited until the boyfriend arrived. I believe she would still be alive and safe just never except rides from strangers.
