The Howard County Police Department announced on Sunday that they have identified the victim of the Columbia Mall shooting that occurred the previous day. According to authorities, Angelo Little, a 17-year-old from Columbia, Maryland, was shot in the food court of the shopping center.
Police were alerted to gunfire at approximately 6:10 p.m. and upon arriving at the scene, they discovered a deceased male. The department has indicated that they believe Little was deliberately targeted.
Initial findings suggest that the suspect left the mall immediately after the shooting. Following the incident, the police successfully evacuated the mall, which was cleared by 9:00 p.m.
