The U.S. Coast Guard has identified Patricia Hicks as one of the ten people who tragically lost their lives in a floatplane crash in Washington’s Puget Sound. The search for the victims was called off on Sunday after extensive efforts to locate the missing individuals.
The Coast Guard ended its search operations after covering around 2,100 square nautical miles with 26 sorties.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to all those who have lost a loved one in this tragic event,” said Coast Guard Cmdr. Xochitl Castaneda.
Along with Patricia Hicks, the deceased included the pilot Jason Winters, and passengers Sandra Williams, Lauren Hilty, Ross Mickel, Luke Ludwig, Rebecca Ludwig, Joanne Mera, Gabrielle Hanna, and a child named Remy Mickel. Only one body has been recovered so far, with the identity of the remains not disclosed.
The loss of Patricia Hicks, a figure known for her warmth and kindness, has left a significant void. Her family and friends remember her fondly as a beacon of positivity and support.
