Fatal Botetourt County crash death of Brian Wayne Coffey – Obituary
Brian Wayne Coffey, 43, from Eagle Rock, lost his life in a tragic accident on Route 220 earlier this month, as reported by Virginia State Police (VSP). The collision occurred on July 9 at 9:59 p.m., just a tenth of a mile south of Country Club Road.
According to VSP, Coffey was driving a 2000 Ford Ranger northbound on Route 220 when the vehicle veered off the road’s left side.
The driver overcorrected, causing the truck to lose control and overturn. Coffey was ejected from the vehicle due to not wearing a seatbelt. He was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital but unfortunately did not survive.
