Fatal Snohomish County shooting death of Riley Davis of Snohomish – Obituary
A man fatally shot early Tuesday morning south of Snohomish has been identified as Riley Davis.
At approximately 2:45 a.m., two men engaged in a confrontation that escalated into violence in the 11000 block of 206th Street SE, according to Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe. During the altercation, a 58-year-old man shot 29-year-old Davis.
Deputies arrived and pronounced Davis dead at the scene. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Davis died from gunshot wounds. The relationship between the two men and the cause of their argument remain unclear.
O’Keefe did not provide further details about the investigation when contacted on Wednesday.
Detectives detained the shooter for questioning. As of Wednesday afternoon, the suspect had not been booked into the Snohomish County Jail, according to jail records.
