Fatal Summit Lake Shooting Death of Paige N. Calich – Obituary
Early Sunday morning, Paige N. Calich, a 24-year-old from Akron, was identified as the victim in a tragic shooting in Summit Lake, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police responded to a shooting report around 12:30 a.m. at 14 Socrates Place. Upon their arrival, they found Calich suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The assailant reportedly fled on foot after the incident.
Capt. Michael Miller, spokesperson for the Akron police, mentioned that Calich had been involved in an altercation on Saturday. It remains unclear if this conflict was related to the shooting.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
