Fatal Boulevard head-on crash death of Dora Valencia Magana – Obituary
Dora Valencia Magana, 44, tragically lost her life in a severe traffic accident last week in the rural area of Boulevard, located in southeastern San Diego County.
At approximately 1 a.m. last Friday, Magana was driving an eastbound 2015 Toyota Camry when, for reasons yet unknown, the vehicle drifted across the double yellow lines on Old Highway 80 and collided with an oncoming 1995 Ford F-150, as reported by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.
After the initial impact near Tierra Del Sol Road, Magana exited her damaged vehicle only to be struck by a 2000 Honda CR-V traveling eastbound, according to CHP Officer Jared Grieshaber. Unfortunately, she died at the scene.
Emergency responders transported the 65-year-old woman driving the Ford and a 70-year-old male passenger from the truck to a trauma center, where both were later pronounced dead. Their identities have not been released pending family notification.
In addition, a 62-year-old man who was a passenger in the Ford and the 58-year-old driver of the Honda, both residents of Boulevard, were taken to the hospital with various injuries. The Highway Patrol indicated that intoxication was not suspected to be a contributing factor in this tragic accident.
