Lisha Krier, 53, was found deceased at her residence on July 5 in the vicinity of 20300 block of 113th Street East.
The medical examiner has classified the cause and manner of her death as “pending,” a designation indicating that further investigation, information, and/or test results are necessary for official determination.
Her ex-husband, Ronald Eugene Krier, 53, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in relation to her death.
Authorities reported that Ronald Krier allegedly sent a message to his daughter confessing to the killing of her mother, prompting Pierce County deputies to perform a welfare check at the scene.
Upon discovering Lisha Krier’s body, the deputies arrested Ronald Krier the same day, as reported by The News Tribune.
During his arraignment on Monday, Ronald Krier entered a plea of not guilty. He remains in custody at Pierce County Jail with a bail set at $2 million.
In addition to the murder charge, Ronald Krier faces a felony harassment charge due to previous allegations from his ex-wife, who had accused him of threats to her life. Bail for this additional charge has been set at $50,000.
