On Wednesday evening, a somber gathering took place at the Riverbend Village Apartments as family, friends, and local residents came together to honor the memories of Vincent Herrera and Kameron Moore.
The men, both in their early twenties, tragically lost their lives in a devastating fire that broke out on Sunday night at the complex near Maryland Parkway and Flamingo Road.
Vincent’s mother, Ronise Herrera, organized a heartfelt vigil, drawing a large crowd of supportive individuals to the parking lot, where grief and solidarity were palpable.
Danielle Abella, a close friend of Vincent, expressed her sorrow, stating, “They were so young, and their futures were bright. This is such a deep loss.”
Victoria Brown, a friend of Kameron Moore, reflected on his character, saying, “He was a rare gem in difficult circumstances, full of promise and kindness.”
Moore’s cousin, Tony DiAngilo, shared that Moore and Herrera had plans to visit Moore’s family in Ohio soon. “They were looking forward to the trip in September. Kameron was eager to show Vincent his world,” DiAngilo said.
As the investigation into the cause of the fire continues, both families are seeking answers. “We want to understand how this happened and what led to it. There are many unanswered questions,” DiAngilo added.
