The mother of Vincent Herrera, who perished in a tragic apartment fire in Las Vegas on Sunday, expressed her profound grief and disbelief at the loss of her son.
“I can’t comprehend why such a wonderful and kind individual was taken from us so soon,” Ronise Herrera shared.
Vincent Herrera, 23, and Kameron Moore, 24, lost their lives in the blaze at the Riverbend Village Apartments. The fire department reported that four additional individuals were hospitalized with injuries.
Ronise Herrera and her husband Teddy were initially seen searching for their son at the Riverbend Village Apartments, situated near Maryland Parkway and Flamingo Road.
“I was just trying to find my son,” Ronise stated during their search. “I was desperate to locate my baby.”
Eventually, the Herreras encountered Clark County Fire Chief John Steinbeck, who assured them he would find their son.
“I’m thankful for his promise and for locating Vincent,” Ronise remarked. “At that moment, he was the only one who could provide me with some sense of hope, and I am deeply grateful for his assistance.”
