The lifeless body of Kenneth Matthew Partee, a 30-year-old Black male who was reportedly homeless, was discovered behind a store near Alexander Central High School.
The Alexander County Habitat for Humanity ReStore was the location where the body was found around 9:46 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
According to Taylorsville Police Chief Mike Millsaps, the cause of death remains undetermined at this time. An autopsy has been initiated, and the investigation is ongoing, Chief Millsaps confirmed.
