A 32-year-old woman, Shahla J. Noori, tragically lost her life in a car crash over the weekend on Interstate 65 in Shelby County. Noori, who was a resident of Elmore, was identified by Alabama State Troopers.
The accident took place at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, about five miles north of Calera. According to Trooper Cpl. Reginal King, Noori was driving a Toyota Corolla when it collided with the rear of a Toyota 4-Runner driven by 40-year-old Sascha R. Glassford from Indian Springs.
