The incident, which took place at the Pinnacle apartment complex, involved 26-year-old Victoria G. Lee, a resident of Fort Lee, who was fatally injured.
According to officials, around 1:25 a.m., Fort Lee Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence at the Pinnacle complex on Main Street.
The call came from a man who reported that his sister was experiencing a mental health crisis and required hospitalization. He also mentioned that she was in possession of a knife.
