Fatal east Charlotte shooting death of Jose Octavio Cruz – Obituary
Jose Octavio Cruz, aged 57, was tragically killed in a quadruple shooting that occurred late Friday night, August 2, on Shamrock Drive. The incident took place shortly after 11 p.m.
The shooting left four individuals affected, with two of the victims discovered in the street, while Cruz and another person were found inside a residence. The three other injured individuals are reported to have life-threatening injuries, as per police reports.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has yet to make any arrests in connection to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 704-432-TIPS. Detective Planty is leading the investigation into this case.
