Fatal Dunn car crash death of Shannon Williams Brewington – Obituary
On Thursday evening, Shannon Williams Brewington, 45, tragically passed away at the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident that also resulted in another person being hospitalized. The collision occurred at the intersection of Ashley Dawn Lane and Jonesboro Road at approximately 7:03 p.m.
Dunn Emergency Services (District 15) were promptly dispatched, with firefighters, paramedics, and rescue technicians arriving within six minutes of the call. They found a construction truck had struck a Ford Escape, with the female driver of the Ford pinned inside the damaged vehicle.
First responders quickly called for a medical helicopter and an EMS supervisor to provide additional support. While paramedics worked to access the victim and administer advanced life support, rescue teams and firefighters focused on extricating her.
Despite their efforts, Shannon Williams Brewington was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries before the helicopter could arrive. Attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.
Brewington, a devoted wife and mother of two, was laid to rest on Monday.
