Ashley Mangual, a 37-year-old resident of Fitchburg, tragically lost her life in a head-on collision in Methuen on Thursday morning, as confirmed by the Essex County District Attorney’s office. Mangual was driving a Toyota RAV4 when it collided with a Mack dump truck.
The incident, which remains under investigation, occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Lowell Road near Winstead Avenue. Upon arrival, Methuen police discovered Mangual trapped in her vehicle with severe injuries. After being rescued by the Fire Department, she was airlifted to a regional trauma center, where she was pronounced dead.
