Fatal Bamberg County shooting death of Juston Erving – Obituary
On Sunday morning, a 33-year-old man named Juston Erving from Columbia lost his life in a shooting incident in Denmark, as reported by the Bamberg County coroner.
Erving was declared dead at 4:15 a.m. following multiple gunshot wounds sustained near Sato Avenue, according to Coroner Wallace Hicks.
Authorities from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division have charged 42-year-old Aubrey Priester Jr. with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The shooting reportedly occurred during a confrontation that began around 3:30 a.m. Priester allegedly opened fire on a trailer, and after Erving was struck by the initial shot, Priester is said to have approached him and continued to shoot him in the torso and head, as detailed in the arrest warrant.
Priester is currently being held at the Bamberg County Detention Center.
