A 33-year-old Richmond resident, Deondre Jermaine Spinks, has died after being shot in the stomach early Sunday morning in Henrico County.
On Sunday, August 4, at approximately 2:28 a.m., officers from the Henrico County Police Division responded to a shooting report at the intersection of Virginia Center Parkway and Wylie Lane.
Upon arrival, they discovered Deondre Jermaine Spinks suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Spinks was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and as of Monday, August 5, police have not released any details regarding potential suspects.
