On Sunday evening, in Hardin County, deputies from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were involved in a fatal shooting incident. They confronted Jonathan Schutte, a 33-year-old robbery suspect from Alabama, in a parking lot on Highway 128 South.
Reports indicate that as deputies approached Schutte’s vehicle, he exited and allegedly fired his weapon at them. The deputies responded with gunfire, which resulted in Schutte being struck and killed. Fortunately, no deputies were injured during the exchange.
