Fatal Washoe County shooting death of Barry Vierra and Michelle Berna – Obituary
The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identities of two individuals who were fatally shot near Linden Street early Sunday morning. Barry Vierra, 59, and Michelle Berna, 37, both succumbed to their injuries at Renown Regional Medical Center following the shooting, which took place around 5 a.m.
The coroner has ruled both deaths as homicides.
According to the Reno Police Department, the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, with no ongoing threat to the public, as it is believed that the two victims were acquainted.
The investigation is still active. Authorities are asking anyone with information to provide anonymous tips through Secret Witness by calling or texting 775-322-4900.
