In a tragic incident on the Fourth of July, Summer Wheaton, a well-known social media influencer with over 100,000 Instagram followers, was involved in a deadly head-on collision in Malibu. The crash happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway near Carbon Canyon Road.
Wheaton, driving a 2019 white Mercedes Benz sedan, was headed eastbound when she veered across the center median and collided with a westbound 2020 Cadillac SUV. The driver of the Cadillac unfortunately died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Both Wheaton and the Cadillac’s passenger were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
