Fatal Lakeland Village car crash death of Darryl Oldfield – Obituary
A 75-year-old man from Lake Elsinore, identified as Darryl Oldfield, was killed in a tragic solo-vehicle accident in Lakeland Village on Monday. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on northbound Grand Avenue, just south of Blanche Drive.
Oldfield lost control of his SUV, which then crashed into a tree situated in a residential front yard. The collision sparked a fire, prompting several bystanders to attempt to extinguish the flames.
Emergency responders from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department arrived on the scene and managed to bring the fire under control. Unfortunately, Oldfield was found deceased in the charred vehicle.
